Skate Ontario

Who Are We?

Skate Ontario is the Provincial Sport Organization that represents figure skating in Ontario .  Through the Sections and the member clubs of Skate Canada in Ontario , we provide opportunities for our 75,000 members to participate in figure skating both at the recreational and competitive levels.

The members of the Board of Directors of Skate Ontario represent all regions of the Province and, through its strategic planning process, Skate Ontario is focused on continuing to deliver the programs that have made figure skating one of the most popular and successful sports in the Province.

In addition, to the full array of skating programs that are available in Ontario member clubs that provide opportunities in all figure skating disciplines and to all age groups, Skate Ontario organizes several special events.  We are pleased to run the following events:

•          Selection of Team Ontario for the Canada Winter Games;

•         A Staging Camp for Team Ontario prior to its departure for the Canada Winter Games;

•         The figure skating event at the Ontario Winter Games;

•         The Trillium STAR Skate Championships; 

•       The Ontario Trillium Cup; 

•         The Provincial Training Camp for elite competitive athletes;

•         Ontario's Club Consultation program;  and

•         Other skating programs to encourage participation by the children and youth of Ontario  

Skate Ontario is proud to be able to provide these opportunities to Ontarians to enjoy the wonderful sport of figure skating.
