Categories to be skated at the 2011Trillium STARSkate Championships and the 2011 Trillium Cup
hosted by Skate Canada – Central Ontario in Port Credit, Ontario on March 11, 12 and 13, 2011
At the 2010 Skate Ontario Annual and Planning Meeting the following decisions were approved affecting the categories to be skated at this season’s Skate Ontario events:
- The three top placements in all eligible categories will qualify to skate in the Provincial events.
- The Pre-Preliminary and Preliminary Singles and Preliminary Dance categories will NOT be included.
- All Triathlon categories will be skated however the Biathlon will NOT be included.
- The PRE-JUVENILE categories will now become part of the Trillium STARSkate Championships. The Sections will determine which event in the respective Section will become the qualifier.
- The qualifiers at the 2011 BMO Sectional events in Juvenile Singles, Dance and Pairs, Pre-Novice and Novice Singles will make up the categories to be skated at the 2011 Trillium Cup.
- Synchronized Skating will not be included at this time, however it is planned to continue to offer Synchro (Pre-Novice category) at the 2012 Ontario Winter Games.
- All categories will be judged using the CPC method.
